What is the RCIA?

 The rite of Christian initiation is designed for adults who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts. By God’s help they will be strengthened spiritually during their preparation and at the proper time will receive the Sacraments fruitfully. This rite includes not simply the celebration of the sacraments of baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist, but also all the rites belonging to the catechumenate. (RCIA #1, 2)

Who can attend RCIA?

RCIA is for Adults (18 years or older) who are not baptized and want to become a Christian Catholics through the sacraments of baptism, confirmation and Eucharist. RICA is also for those who are baptized Christians (in another Christian or Catholic tradition) who want a full sacramental communion in the Roman Catholic Church through confirmation and the Eucharist; attend a Catholic Church because they accompany a loved or spouse and not sure if the Catholic Church is for them, but they are willing to ask questions.

How do I register to attend RCIA.

Registrations are the same dates & times as CCE- Continuing Christian Education.

First dates from: 11:00am to 3:00pm in Bldg. 300

July 10, 12 (Monday & Wednesday)

July 18, 20 (Tuesday & Thursday)

Second dates from: 4:00pm to 7:00pm in Bldg. 300

July 11th and 13th (Tuesday and Thursday)

July 17, 19 (Monday and Wednesday)

Is there a fee to attend and when are the classes offered?

The fee to attend is the same as CCE: (we accept cash, check or card) There is an additional $10 fee to attend the RCIA retreat which is mandatory. Classes are on Tuesday evenings. Attendance is mandatory. Schedules are provided at registration. Attendance for the retreat is also mandatory.

1 Child - $90. $75.00*

2 Children - $115.00; $95.00*

3 or more Children - $140.00; $115.00*

We ask that you pay at least HALF of the tuition at the time of registration to secure a place for your child.
